Skiing in the Gastein
Valley offers skiers the chance to explore 250km of great terrain,
using a modern lift system, incorporating a choice of 51 lifts,
including gondolas, cable cars, a funicular and high speed chairs,
to reach a top elevation of 2700m. Each resort has its own beginners slopes, those in Bad Hofgastein being found on the Schlossalm, the mountain above the town. There is plenty of intermediate skiing to explore here at Bad Hofgastein and the mountain offers a huge amount of off-piste. Bad Hofgastein is linked by gondola and funicular to Bad Gastein so it is possible to reach the Stuberkogel above Bad Gastein, home to the area’s longest run down to the central Angertal region, at 8km. Superb hotel - wonderful skiing. |
