Zell am See is situated
in a beautiful location by the shore of the lake and the views from
the ski areas are outstanding. The beginners will find long gentle
runs starting from near the highest point on the Schmittenhohe, and
at Kaprun they will also discover a fantastic area of easy skiing up
on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier at 10,000 feet. The twin resorts of Zell am See and Kaprun offer between them more than 50 lifts in an area that is both ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers, yet offers exciting and challenging skiing for the most advanced skiers on pistes which have hosted the World Cup Downhill Races. In the evenings Zell am See is a live and vibrant place with discotheques, Tyrolean evenings, tobogganing, a natural ice rink, and a beautiful indoor swimming pool. |
