Madonna di Campiglio, a
discreet and elegant town nestling at an altitude of 1550 metres in
the stupendous valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers
of Adamello and Presanella, is today most certainly one of Italy’s
top ski resorts as well as one of the most important ski areas in
the Alps. Today the Ski Area can boast 57 lifts and 150km of ski runs, with a capacity of more than 31,000 people per hour, a 50,000 sq m snow park, 40km for Nordic skiing, and there are plans to link up to the pistes in Pinzolo (since it is already possible to ski the link to Folgarida and Marilleva). The fifty thousand hectares of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, together with 450km of mountain paths offer incredible opportunities for those wishing to walk. |
