Hafjell is the largest
Alpine resort in the Lillehammer Ski area, and is located just north
of Lillehammer. The snow conditions are very stable, and the staff
at the resort have considerable snow-technical expertise going back
to the successful Lillehammer Olympic Games in 1994. A snow making
system covers 17km of slopes, ensuring a good snow base and a long
season until end of April.
The Hafjell Alpine Centre offers ski slopes both in forest terrain, sheltered by wind and inclement weather, and in high mountain terrain up past the tree line, with spectacular views, and a run of more than 5km. An extensive floodlighting system covering major parts of the lower mountain is turned on for those who want to ski out of the sun set and into the night. |
