Davos is a name known to winter sports enthusiasts all over the world, for people have been coming to ski in Davos for almost as long as skiing has been enjoyed. There are 5 large ski areas spread out on both sides of the town, and due to the great altitude good snow should be assured virtually throughout the whole Season. In fact, so extensive is the ski area in Davos that we have only been able to illustrate half of the ski lifts, and therefore half of the runs.

It is, of course, the Parsenn, where the cable car ascends to 9,300ft, which draws people from all over the world to ski at Davos. On the ‘Parsenn run’ one can ski for more than 7 miles down to Kublis or Klosters or Saas or Serneus, stopping half way perhaps, for lunch in a little rustic restaurant in the woods and then returning to Davos by means of the famous train which comes back up the valley. Here is skiing for skiers of all standards with wonderful beginners’ slopes reached by the funicular, and runs for the intermediate and advanced skiers which will delight them.
