Val Gardena - Dolomiti SuperSki
Italy
Val Gardena is one of the most popular resorts in Italy and for good reason. Its easy access to the Dolomiti Superski area and the iconic Sella Ronda circuit opens up a vast amount of terrain to explore! The resort itself is also home to a range of fantastic runs including the Saslong slope which hosts the FIS World Cup Super-G and Men’s Downhill event every year.
A harmonious carousel with 12 skiing areas and state of-the-art lift facilities with a good 1,200 km of daily groomed slopes, and sunny slopes you just can’t wait to get your skis gliding over. You’ll be spoilt for choice, as there’s a slope for everyone: from the easiest one, for beginners following by ski instructors, to places of daring you’d never thought of going before. Simply amazing.

Flight

Fly to Munich international airport or Milan Malpensa airport. Both are approximately 4 hour drive from the ski site

Transportation

By car:

Car rental is a surprisingly inexpensive option! It can be $150-200 per week (before insurance) and the upside is that you then will be able to enjoy the car through the week. However, it will require you to drive 4 hours after a long flight

By Taxi:

If your hotel doesn't offer a transfer - there are a number of car services available from Milan and Munich airport. They are a bit pricey - but if you are a group of 6-8 - it might make sense (and will be very convenient). Few recommended services include  Val Gardena Express and Taxi Auto dull -  both have an online calculator to see the price

By public transport:

If you are trying to travel on a real tied budget - there is an option to use a combination of busses and trains to get to Selva from both airport. However, it will take twice the time and will require 4-5 switches depending on the time and day of your trip. Additionally, some of the hotels are not in the village center, so don't forget to budget walking time / taxi to get to the bus stop. Here an example for public transport option

By hotel transport:

Before you book a car service, check with your hotel if they have a transfer option. Hotel Cir, for example, offers an inexpensive shuttle service straight to the hotel.
